Nature
Rolling hills, streams and ponds, forests and vineyards make for a richly varied landscape. Nearly 3,000 km of hiking trails wind across the département; lakes and rivers are perfect for fishing, swimming and canoe-kayaking. The Pyrenees and their ski resorts are close by.
Food & drink
Close to Samatan, famous for its Monday-morning market (the region's first live poultry and foie gras market): foie gras, duck, wine and armagnac all worth tasting.
Culture
Music festivals (jazz in Marciac, country music in Mirande), bullfighting-style events and motor racing in Nogaro, regional museums, châteaux and abbeys, and a stargazing observatory. Samatan and Lombez both offer a lively cultural scene. Not to be missed: Château de Caumont, just a few minutes from the estate.

One of our guests' favourite outings: this Renaissance historic monument at Cazaux-Savès, set within a 50-hectare park with views of the Pyrenees, can easily be visited in half a day from the estate.
Discover the châteauFive centuries of Gascon history: a medieval fortress linked to Gaston Fébus, transformed during the Renaissance, and once host to King Henri IV — today a listed historic monument, still run by the same family since 1979.
A 100-hectare organic farming estate in Saint-Loube, with a château, gîtes and grand grounds available for private hire — one of the area's most sought-after wedding venues. If you're celebrating your wedding at Poussignan, La Maison Bleue can host family and friends for the weekend.
